Kura Chinese medicine is a private general Chinese medical practice located in South Yarra. We provide Chinese medical healthcare services to the residents of South Yarra and surrounding suburbs including Toorak, Prahran, Windsor, Richmond, Cremorne, Burnley, Southbank and East Melbourne.
Kura has teamed up with Vogue Medical, and provides acupuncture treatment that is covered by medicare. Acupuncture consults cost only $25 out of pocket regardless of whether you are seeing us for a standard 40 minute consult or an extended 55 minute one.
Kura provides friendly and accessible acupuncture and Chinese medical healthcare for people living in and around South Yarra, Melbourne. We understand that health is a very personal thing, and we are committed to working with you to reach your chosen level of optimum health. Dr Ma has a particular interest in musculoskeletal conditions, internal medicine and women’s health. She believes in working alongside your GP or other health care practitioner to attain the best possible results for her patients. Please note that Dr Ma is currently not seeing patients.

Dr Helen Bourke,CMD completed her Bachelors of Applied Science in Chinese Medicine and Human Biology at RMIT University in Melbourne, and her clinical internship at Jiangsu Provincial Hospital of Traditional Chinese Medicine, in Nanjing, China.
Dr Bourke has a particular interest in treating pain, musculoskeletal conditions, digestive issues, women’s health and anxiety. She is experienced with a broad range of other health issues and enjoys working with patients to restore overall health and well being.

Dr Kay Kim, CMD is a fully qualified, professional traditional Chinese medicine practitioner and acupuncturist. Kay undertook five years of training completing her degree at RMIT. As a part of the course, she underwent clinical internship in Nanjing of Jiangsu province in China. Furthermore, she has finished individual clinical training in Korea.
Dr Kim has a particular interest in women’s health including menstrual problems, hormonal imbalance, fertility and pregnancy care. She has had excellent results in treating of digestive problems, mental health as well as pain management. She aims to treat the root cause of the conditions while gently addressing the signs and symptoms.
